William Hatch Crosby
William Hatch Crosby photographs people and then fills in their face with a pattern, he does this by painting directly onto the image. I think this is interesting because it gives more texture to the photograph and makes the image more unique compared to a portrait with nothing added to it. I had a go at imitating his work;
The fist time I used red acrylic paint as he does but I used a photograph of a landscape as it fit my theme better:
I then had another go at this, but this time I decided to incorporate more colours into my landscape, I prefer this out come as it is more colourful and interesting to look at rather than the single colour:
Overall I enjoyed this experiment and i would consider using it again at a later date.
